““Osteopathy is a science, a philosophy and an art. It is a science because it is based on accurate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of mechanics. It is a philosophy because it regards the human body as a dynamic unit of function, and recognizes the body’s ability to heal itself. It is an art because it depends on the practitioner’s skill in using his or her hands to diagnose and treat the patient.””
